MISSION STATEMENT
Founded in 2005, by Paul Sarfati and Arturo Martinez, with a vision to provide an unforgettable learning and travel experience in Mexico for all types of travelers, they decided to start Bambaexperience.com. As a world traveler himself, Paul's focus has always been on enjoying every single moment in life, traveling and meeting new people and going to amazing off-the-beaten-path destinations, all while directly interacting with local villagers and appreciating the natural environment during the process.

Today, BambaExperience.com has grown its size from Paul and Arturo’s original vision to include buses, guides and support staff. It is the only resource in Mexico specializing in phenomenal backpacking experiences throughout the country. Bambaexperience.com cares about the preservation of the natural resources and protecting the environment in every conceivable way. The team’s goal is that every Bamba friend taking their adventures and tours experience nature without disrupting it in the process. Bambaexperience.com strives to inspire the admiration and the feeling of responsability towards our planet within travelers by showing them off the beaten path destinations making them feel one with the Real Mexico.

Most importantly, Bambaexperience.com’s primary concern is that every single traveler returns home safely, with a smil on their face, with a list of new friends and a greater consciousness of world community.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Bamba has created a culture where a new philosophy of life was created by making extremes come together: professionalism and exoticism, self-discovery and intercultural exchange. By bringing backpackers to isolated communities purchasing food or handicrafts at local markets, we support an impoverished community encouraging sustainable development since we will be creating jobs for the community as well as new opportunities for business development.

Spending time in these communities also allows us to see their major needs and problems, so we can find efficient ways to help them. With this in mind, most problems arise from a lack of education, inefficient medical clinics and ignorance. For these reasons, we are in the process of making alliances with national and international volunteer programs in order to aid the development of the rural communities by giving a hand either teaching in their local schools, helping with the medical clinic, or protecting the natural habitat.

THE BAMBA TEAM
The Bamba team is made up of a group of passionate, energetic and experienced travelers who dedicate themselves to showing you a more vivid side of Mexico. In Bamba our staff members don't work for us, they are us. We acknowledge human capital and believe that it is not about having hierarchies, but working as a team. Our team is constantly reminded to live life to the fullest and the only thing we exploit is life itself. The team gives preference to human values by building links and providing ways to genuinely interact. The Bamba team has spent many hours traveling around the country visiting every accommodation, researching every activity, making strategic alliances and spending time with the locals. Bamba ensures that the customer is offered the best options available, according to strict service quality standards.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
In Mexico, we go to places where the locals have rarely seen travelers. The result of encounters between local villagers and world travelers is indescribable. Through our volunteer adventures, we encourage travelers who have the desire to give back to the community, to spend time in the indigenous communities, helping out impoverished families or working to preserve the natural environment and protecting endangered species here in Mexico. The opportunities to lend a helping hand in Mexico are unlimited and those who are interested have a wide variety of projects to select from.

RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL
Tourism in developing countries such as Mexico can have a huge effect on the environment and local communities with which we come in contact. In order for everyone to have the best experience possible we ask that you take into consideration the people with whom you are coming into contact and the way you affect their lives and environment.
